The Red Village is a skill-based dark-fantasy tournament fighting game. Players compete with non-fungible token (NFT) ‘Champions’, drawn from five classes; wizards, Barbarians, Druids, Paladins, and Rangers. Players pay a small entry fee to enter their Champion into an 8-player Tournament. These fees are pooled, and winnings are split
70/27.5 to first and second place respectively, with 2.5% returning to the game.
Each Champion has unique strengths and weaknesses, and players learn these over time to improve their chances of winning any given Tournament. Importantly, itis a game with a very easy and quick learning curve,that appeals to a broad audience.
Thematically and stylistically, it resembles hugely successful traditional video game titles such as Diablo, Skyrim, and The Witcher, while in gameplay it borrows elements from easy to play auto-battler games such as DOTA and Teamfight Tactics. The mechanic is familiar to anyone who watches UFC, boxing, or even horse racing.
