Decentral Games (DG) receives $1 Million worth of MANA from Decentraland DAO to support its ICE token
The play-and-earn gaming platform has secured $1 million worth of MANA from the Decentraland community to provide rewards for the ICE-USDC liquidity pool on QuickSwap.

Decentral Games has announced that it has secured $1 million worth of MANA from the Decentraland DAO. This grant was awarded after the submission of a proposal by the gaming platform to Decentraland. Although the proposal sparked a highly heated debate in the Decentraland community on its relevance, it was eventually approved by a tiny margin.
The funds will be used to provide rewards for the ICE-USDC liquidity pool on QuickSwap, as MANA rewards will be distributed over three months to those that stake USDC-ICE LP. This announcement is historic because it is the largest ecosystem grant that Decentraland has ever awarded.
Commenting on the Funding, CMO at Decentral Games, Matthew Howells-Barby, said:
“The passing of this proposal shows the support we have from the Decentraland community and how important Decentral Games has become as a major contributor to daily active users.
These incentives will enable us to create further stability in our ecosystem ahead of rolling out our new sit-and-go poker tournament mode that we believe will bring a whole new experience to our Decentraland venues and will help us to onboard thousands of new users to the nascent metaverse.”
Decentral Games has exhibited its conviction in the Decentraland Metaverse since its inception in 2017 by purchasing over 1,000 parcels of LAND while investing millions of dollars in building engaging content to attract and retain over 60 percent of the platform’s users.
This funding will be pivotal in boosting the in-game economy as they prepare for the launch of the ICE Poker Sit-n-Go tournaments, along with other vital initiatives targeted at solidifying the growth of the ecosystem and onboarding more users into the Decentraland Metaverse.
Currently, Decentral Games boasts 12 live Decentraland venues, 1,007 parcels of Decentraland LAND, 8,000+ daily active players, and 40,000+ weekly visitors.
