Decentral Games Introduces New Sit-n-Go Tournament Mode for ICE Poker
After much anticipation, Decentral Games is launching a new mode for its flagship ICE Poker game called Sit-n-Go Tournament.

Meet Sit-n-Go Tournament: The new fast-paced game in ICE Poker
With $1 million in funding from Decentraland DAO, Decentral Games (DG) is now ready to roll out the Sit-n-Go tournament mode for ICE Poker. According to DG, it is a fast-paced, 6-player, single-elimination tournament where players compete to win badges redeemable for prizes such as ICE wearables, $ICE tokens, and $xDG tokens. The game starts with 10/20 blinds and increases at set intervals until one last player is standing.
With that, the team says Sit-n-Go tournaments will bring multiple benefits to the Decentral Games ecosystem. First off, those who want to play the new game mode must have an ICE Wearable with Shine. The number of Shine reduces whenever the player enters a tourney. To get more Shine, players need to burn more $ICE. This, in turn, will create a notable $ICE token sink for the ICE Poker game economy.
Also, Decentral Games is offering a low-cost entry point for those who want to get started in Sit-n-Go tournaments. At launch, a series of new Tournament Wearables will be up for sale. Each will cost 1,000 $ICE or around $12, which is way cheaper than ICE Wearables trading at 0.5 ETH floor on OpenSea. This will surely attract new players looking for an affordable way to play and earn in ICE Poker.
But only skillful players will benefit most from Sit-n-Go tournaments. According to Decentral Games, they will only reward the top 2 players in any match as follows:
- 1st Place - Tournament Badges
- 2nd Place - Shine refunds to the player
Decentral Games to launch Sit-n-Go tournaments in stages
Sit-n-Go Tournament mode will be available in Decentral Game's metaverse experience and ICE Poker Flex mobile platform. The new game mode will first launch on ICE Poker Flex for all existing wearable owners in August 2022.
After that, the Tournament Wearables sale will go live, allowing more players to join Sit-n-Go tournaments on Flex. Once the team is ready, they will release the new game mode in an exclusive ICE Poker casino in Decentraland.
