DeFi Kingdoms reveals Serendale 1.0 Shutdown Plan, releases Gardening Quests in Crystalvale
The shutdown plan of the Harmony version of the game is split into 5 different phases, with the last one set to complete on October 5. Crystalvale, the Avalanche version of the cross-chain title, now has Gardening Quests, allowing players to send up to two Heroes to every pool in order to earn tokens and items.
The developers of DeFi Kingdoms have revealed the shutdown plan for Serendale 1.0 on the Harmony network and announced the release of Gardening Quests in Crystalvale.
After announcing that Serendale is going from Harmony to the Klaytn network, the team has recently tweeted about the shutdown plan for the former network, with the plan being split into 5 phases. The second phase finished on September 14, which meant the shutdown of raffles, Profession Quests, Training Quests and the Wishing Well, while commencing the closure of the Meditation Circle and setting the withdrawal fee for Gardens to zero. Phase 3 will be completed on September 21, removing the Meditation Circle, Summoning, the Item Trader and more. The last phase will end on October 5. For the full shutdown plan, check out the tweet down below, which also mentions that there will be more details and reminders posted as time goes on.
While this shutdown plan goes in full swing, the developers have meanwhile released Gardening Quests in the Crystalvale realm, the Avalanche version of the cross-chain title. These quests can be found in the Profession Quests area, where players will find an NPC called Greenskeeper Sivia they can interact with to get a quest. As was the case in Serendale, players send Heroes to gardens in order to earn items and tokens, the difference being that in Crystalvale, it’s possible to send 2 Heroes to every pool, with the first earning $CRYSTAL, while the second earns $JEWEL. Various rare items can be potentially earned too, including Milkweed, Green Pet Egg and more.
