Forest Knight NFT Marketplace officially launches in beta
News

Blockchain gaming-focused indie studio Chrono Games has announced that the NFT marketplace for Forest Knight has officially launched in beta.

Players of the turn-based strategy title can now access the beta version of the marketplace from the official website. Once the full official release comes out, the marketplace will be available within the free-to-play game itself.

NFTs can be transferred to a player’s wallet using the transfer potion, and players will need to have $MATIC to cover gas fees when trading NFTs on the marketplace. Aside from regularly listing and buying NFTs for a fixed price, players can also set up auctions which last for 24 hours, placing a starting price and allowing others to bid until the end of the auction. It’s also possible to list an auction with a “Buy Now” option, meaning sellers can set a maximum price and allow buyers to purchase the NFT at that price straight away if they don’t want to go the bidding route and risk missing out.

All transactions made on the marketplace will be done using the $KNIGHT token, bringing additional utility to the mobile game’s core token. There are also marketplace fees: a 1% fee for the seller which goes back to the game for players to earn; a 2% platform fee for both the buyer and seller on every transaction and another 2% fee for the seller that goes to the DAO Treasury.

The team has revealed that a profile system will be launching soon which will be connected to the marketplace and track in-game achievements while providing the opportunity to earn in-game benefits to those who use the marketplace.

There’s also a listing competition in which 3 exclusive skins are being given away, two of which will be given at random to those who meet certain requirements.

Forest Knight is available as a free-to-play, play-to-own title on Android devices via the Google Play Store, while an iOS version is planned for release sometime in the future.
