GameStop Wallet now supports Immutable X
Users can use the GameStop Wallet to access Immutable X assets and more thanks to native support for the Ethereum-based Layer 2 network.

The latest version of the GameStop Wallet, a self-custodial Ethereum wallet, now supports Immutable X, a Layer 2 network on the Ethereum blockchain.
With this native support added in version 0.6.9, users of the retailer’s wallet can now connect to dApps built on the zero-gas network, as well as send, receive and access Immutable X assets via the wallet.
Given the partnership announced between GameStop and Immutable back in February this year for the former’s NFT marketplace, having this integration was merely only a matter of time. The GameStop NFT marketplace launched in beta last month, the same month in which it also went live on Loopring, which is the first zkRollup Layer 2 on the Ethereum network. Robinhood’s former Web3 & Blockchain Lead, Sriram Bhargav, has been hired by the famous video game retailer in that same month to take on the role of VP of Engineering at GameStop NFT.
Immutable X is a gas-free Layer 2 network built on Ethereum. It features its own carbon-neutral NFT trading platform, which has over 30 million NFTs minted this year without any gas fees paid. It’s made by Immutable, the company which launched a $500 million Web3 Developer & Venture Fund back in June this year.
