The Harvest Is Launching in Open Beta on January 30
The open beta version of The Harvest kicks off on January 30 and ends on February 6, marking with it the switch from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5.
After undergoing pre-alpha and closed beta during last year, The Harvest, a third-person hero shooter, is set to launch in open beta this January 30, with the test period planned to last until February 6.
This public release marks the switch from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5, with the developers stating that the visuals will be “a ton better” as a result. They also said that this beta will be available 24/7 for everyone to enjoy during the testing period. For this open beta, there will only be Asian and South American servers, with the team recommending players to play from 6 PM to 11 PM SGT/BRT as they deem this period as the best for playing and getting rewarded.
The start of the open beta also means that Hero Ability Cards will go live, allowing you to equip your hero with a variety of different Ability Cards to test them out and see how they can be used to your advantage. During the Open Beta Week, the developers will be giving away Ability Cards as well as an exclusive Open Beta Community Badge for playing this version, while those who tweet gameplay videos could also have a chance of winning one Legendary Box
Various bug fixes and stability improvements are also included in this latest phase, with the team saying that those who took part in previous stages can now expect “smoother gameplay.”
