Aavegotchi Releases New Season of Rarity Farming
Season seven will have four two-week rounds, and rewards are in the form of NFTs, trophies, and GHST tokens.
Aavegotchi has just announced the latest season of Rarity Farming that will commence October 31. just like the previous seasons, season seven will run for eight weeks, which is divided into four two-week rounds. After each round, an on-chain snapshot of the leaderboards will commence, and prizes will be given to winners. The rewards are in the form of GHST tokens, NFT badges, and trophies.
Via a post, Aavegotchi said,
“The voice of the AavegotchiDAO once again rumbled through the Gotchiverse, confirming a 7th season of Rarity Farming to begin on October 31. It is time for your Gotchis to win GHST tokens by simply dressing up and being taken care of!”
Rarity Farming is a P2E mechanic which rewards players for creating their Aavegotchi NFTs as rare as possible. Rewards include Rarity, XP, and Kinship, and come when players equip them with Wearable NFTs, pet them more than once daily, and join XP events.
Details of the Season Prize Pool
The season seven pool prize is 1.6 million GHST (1.3 million USD). To join the Rarity Farming event, individuals need to have an Aavegotchi, which they can borrow from players using the Gotchi Lending.
The major change to the prize distribution from last year is that 100k GHST be included in the pool to fund the concurrent Gocthi Battler tournament, which has five teams of Gotchis. The remaining 1.5 million GHST will be shared as 70% for Rarity, 20% for Kinship, and 10% for XP. The factors forl getting a rarity score depend on the random traits exhibited when the Aavegotchi is called, the points gotten from equipping Wearables, the change in trait scores gained by levelling up and those gained by the aging mechanic.
Improving the chance of Aavegotchi’s Kinship comes from feeding it more than once daily and interacting with the GotchiGang once every 12 hours. Earning XP is by voting in the DAO, participating in community events, joining minigame competitions, and taking XP potions.
