Alien Worlds Announces In-game DAOs
Planetary Syndicates allow users to create their own game experience and compete with each other to earn tokens.
Details of The Planetary Syndicates
Alien Worlds has taken the next step in innovation by launching its in-game DAO, Syndicates. This is an innovative gaming experience and a first for the Web3 and gaming industries.
Alien Worlds' Cofounder, Saro McKenna, said, "After more than two years of development and scaling, our in-game DAOs are ready to be run by players. This is not only critical to gameplay, since each planet is ultimately competing for supremacy, but it is also crucial to our mission: to transform the way players are experiencing gaming, and ultimately giving them control of their own experience. The DAO structure uniquely allows players to become co-owners of their planet and the system they are part of. The structure of our DAO ecosystem is incredibly empowering to our community and to anyone who adopts the DAO architecture."
Players can govern their Alien Worlds' communities and manage and allocate the digital assets within their treasuries. In addition, players can compete with each other to earn Trilium, the token of Alien Worlds. Finally, they can pledge their support to a planet of choice by staking Trilium. This gives them voting power in planetary elections and the ability to submit proposals to distribute the assets within the treasury.
The six Planetary Syndicates combine entertainment and loyalty to each planet. Players get to compete and strategize for their planet to reign supreme. The Planetary Syndicates are self-governing communities, allowing for a weighted voting system, where the more Trilium a player stakes to the planet, the more voting power they receive.
