Apeiron Shares More Details on Dungeon Demo Phase 2: Infinity Run
Season 2 will introduce a new mechanic in which players compete based on how many times they complete all Depths.
What's new in Apeiron Dungeon Season 2
Apeiron, an NFT god game backed by YGG Sea and GuildFi, has released more details on the second phase of the Dungeon Demo.
Unlike the last season, which focused more on speedrunning, Season 2 will feature an entirely different mechanic. Players will compete based on how many times they complete all Dungeon Depths – thus the name Infinity Run.
The Dungeon has three Depths, and players must clear each one to gain resources and entry to the next stage. After finishing all three, the game will soft reset, allowing players to return to Depth 1 and repeat the entire process with the resources they have. The deeper they go, the harder the fights. Those who clear a large number of rooms will be placed higher on the leaderboard.
You will be rewarded with Animus tokens for each Depth cleared, the soulbound version of Apeiron's play-to-earn ANIMA token. Animus can be used to breed planets, forge relics, and engage in many other activities, giving you a head start at full launch.
On top of that, Artifacts will be available in Season 2. These rare items will provide passive bonuses, allowing players to customize their playstyle and improve their effectiveness. Some Artifacts can be combined for a more powerful combo. For instance, "The Pentahorn," an Artifact that provides attack speed to all units for every 5 mana, can be combined with "The Spirit-Coral Tree," which gives additional max mana to gain even more attack speed.
Besides, the next update will include two new Avatar classes: Tempest Fury and Tempest Fate. The former is a melee brawler, while the latter is a commander-style Avatar. Each of the six Apostle classes will receive five new skills, with players being able to sacrifice new Apostles to upgrade old ones.
The Apeiron Dungeon will also release Event rooms, an innovative feature that adds replayability to the game. Players can interact with several storylines and make decisions that deeply impact the rest of their run. The Campfire room will be upgraded, allowing players to simultaneously heal their Avatars and Apostles, as well as level up their Apostles.
For now, the Apeiron Dungeon is accessible to anyone with a Battle Pass, which can be forged from the Lunar Fragment and Solar Fragment. To learn more, check out the official post here.
