Axes Metaverse Open Beta Test begins on September 5
The open beta test features a prize pool of $10k BUSD and allows players to play the first game mode of Axes Metaverse called Axes: Battleground, a 3D isometric battle royale.
Developer Whitepalms Developments Ltd. has announced that the open beta test for Axes Metaverse begins on September 5.
Published by one of the largest mobile gaming publishers around, Azur Games, Axes Metaverse is a play-and-earn metaverse running on the BNB Chain and is based on the publisher’s mobile title Axes.io. The first game mode available for testing is called Axes: Battleground, a 3D isometric battle royale in which players fight it out using a variety of different Axes Hunters to become the last hero standing. Other game modes that will be released in the future include Axes: Team Tactics and Axes: Kingdom Wars. The former is a squad-based tactical RPG while the latter is an online strategy game where players battle for control of lands, set up kingdoms by making alliances and more. All modes are interconnected, meaning that resources gained in one game mode can be used in the other.
There will be on-chain upgradeable NFT heroes as well as free off-chain heroes, with the former to be tradable on the official marketplace while also enabling passive token mining. This means NFT heroes can be sent to various mines to collect two tokens: the Axes Metaverse Shard, which is used for most activities, including trading NFTs, and Axes Metaverse Ingot, a governance token.
The open beta test for the battle royale game mode features a prize pool of $10k BUSD divided into two seasons. The first season commences on September 7 and ends on September 21, while the second season starts on September 23 and finishes on September 30. Players can play the open beta for free on PC as well as on Android and iOS devices by downloading it from the official Axes website.
This open beta runs on the testnet of the BNB Chain. For more details, such as info on how to get everything set up and running, take a look at the official Medium post here.
