Axie Infinity kicks off the Lunacian Summer Breeding Event
The Lunacian summer event is a highly anticipated event in the Axie Community. Axies with distinct body parts can combine to form a Summer part, mutating to form a Summer body or Shiny part.
Axie infinity has started the breeding event for the Lunacian Summer. This event will span 50 days, and users will be able to rare special-edition Summer body skins by breeding Axies with specific parts.
To get Axies with Summer parts, players must breed two Axies with very distinct body parts. The combination of these parts has a probability of producing a Summer part. The only difference between these and the initial parts would be their skins. They can also breed Axies with many compatible parts in one season to boost their chances of getting one or more Summer parts.
For instance, they can breed one Axie with Neo + Silence Whisper with another Axie with Blossom + Risky Fish, producing both Bubble Fish and Summer Sunglasses. Also, to obtain a Summer part, the new Axie must have acquired a particular dominant trait from one of its parents.
Meanwhile, if a trainer breeds Neo with Blossom, the offspring will only have the Flower Sunglasses trait if the Neo is the inherited dominant gene. However, if the offspring has Blossom as the dominant gene, it won’t have a Summer part.
Summer parts can be inherited, meaning Axies with Summer parts can pass it down to their offspring, though it is only during the event. After the event, it will no longer be possible, and the succeeding generation will have normal body parts instead.
Summer Body and Shiny Part
Axis with 6 Summer parts will automatically have a Summer body. Offsprings of Axies who have the skin can inherit the body irrespective of the number of Summer parts they have.
Each Summer part has a 1% probability of transforming into a Shiny part. However, if two Axies with 6/6 Summer parts are bred together, the chance of a Shiny part turns 5%. Finally, Shiny parts cannot be inherited.
