Axie Infinity Reveals Origins S5 Off-Season Updates
The updates introduced for the Origins S5 Off-Season give Axie Infinity players the opportunity to collect Fortune Chests and compete in the Off-Season Leaderboard for a chance at winning various rewards.
Sky Mavis has announced various updates for the S5 Off-Season of Axie Infinity: Origins.
What’s new in Origins S5 Off-Season?
The developers have introduced various updates to the Origins S5 Off-Season, which players entered following the end of the Mystic Era.
For this break, players have a chance to earn Fortune Chests as before, this time up until September 17th. These Off-Season Fortune Chests can be earned by winning ranked matches, with the difference now being that they contain Runes and Charms for players to gain. According to the announcement, the change should help players strategize for Season 6.
Another update was also added that allows players to get an advantage for the start of the upcoming season. This new update is the addition of Off-Season Leaderboard Rewards. Through this leaderboard, players have a chance of gaining Rare Runes, Charms, Moonshards, and Promotion Boxes for Starter axis by winning in the Arena. This leaderboard not only encourages you to practice ahead of the new season, but also gives you a chance of winning the aforementioned rewards, with the top 10k players on this leaderboard set to be eligible. Rewards vary based on ranking, with those placed from 5001th to 10,000th set to earn 100 Moonshards and 1 Promotion Box each, while the top 10 players during this Off-Season will be rewarded with 1 Rare Rune, 2 Rare Charms, 4000 Moonshards, and 7 Promotion Boxes.
In other Axie-related news, earlier this month Sky Mavis launched Axie Infinity: Homeland in pre-beta, introducing a new reward structure to the land-based game mode.
