Axie Origins Season 5 Reveals New Starter Axies and Different Ways to Win AXS
Players will get to unlock 3 starter Axies, mint Epic and Mystic Runes and Charms for half the price, and earn AXS through various gameplay.
What to expect from Axie Origins S5
Axie Origins has officially kicked off Season 5, bringing with it a host of exciting features and upgrades to the community. These include new starter Axies, rewards for collectible Axies, a reduced mint cost for Epic and Mystic Runes and Charms, and different ways to win AXS.
Players will get to unlock 3 starter Axies: Momo (Bird), Pomodoro (Bug), and Venoki (Reptile), by completing specific missions in Origins. Each of them comes with special skills and abilities, providing a diverse combo during battles.
Those who own a Mystic, Origin, MEO, MEO II, Japanese, Christmas, Shiny, or Summer Axie would have also received a special gift from Sky Mavis. Eligible holders can claim their rewards through in-game mail, with the rewards based on the rarest Axie in their wallet. Those who wish to get these special goodies must acquire one of the collectible Axies before the next era (Epic Era).
On top of that, the minting fees for Epic and Mystic Runes and Charms have been reduced by half. This will likely increase demand for more powerful Runes and Charms, as well as the trading activity for these special items.
In Season 5, there will be 112,000 AXS up for grabs. Players can win AXS not just by climbing the Leaderboard, but also through other gameplay such as Fortune Chests, Contests, and Weekly Missions. This offers multiple ways for players to earn AXS while taking part in the Axie ecosystem. 85,000 AXS will be allocated for Leaderboard rewards, 15,000 for Fortune Chests, 7,000 for Contests, and 5,000 AXS for Weekly Missions.
