Battlebound Launches a New Game Mode
Evaverse will be open to all players, enabling those without NFTs to play the game on Steam.
Details of Cosmic Cup
Web3 Studio, Battlebound, has announced a new pet racing game, Cosmic Cup. In addition, the new game mode allows players to mint rare collectible packs called Purrtle Packs. Battlebound is a web3 studio founded by AAA video gaming veterans from Ubisoft, Blizzard, Riot Games and NCSoft.
Cosmic Cup is the most recent game mode released by Battleground’s growing gaming ecosystem. The gaming studio has also experienced success with Evaverse, a complete-to-own gaming platform created for gamers and NFT collectors. In addition, this platform, Evaverse, enables users to play, compete, and socialize in an immersive 3D space.
Cosmic Cups’ Purrtle Packs
The pet racing style game, Cosmic Cups, created an exclusive collection of characters called Purrtles. The Purrtles blend cat and turtle avatars, with inspiration drawn from CryptoKitties. The Purrtle packs are NFT collections of 3D companion avatars, a wearable in-game backpack accessory. In addition, Battlebound will be offering a free mint of these NFT collections. As players move through Evaverse’s game modes, the backpack levels up. Once players hit the Purrtle Pack experience cap, a unique Purrtle NFT avatar is unlocked.
Adam Hensel, Founder and CEO of Battlebound, shared: "Battlebound's vision is to create incredible 10,000-hour games that players will enjoy for decades. We do this by creating fun gameplay combined with enhanced NFT utility. Once a Purrtle Pack evolves to reveal a companion Purrtle NFT, the NFT can earn stamina by competing in the Cosmic Cup. The stamina empowers the NFT to continue to earn rewards in the form of tickets and badges while players are offline. As these off-chain currencies accrue, players are given a larger $EVA token airdrop allocation when the game token launches in 2023.”
Battlebound will be distributing 1,000 Purrtle Packs. Registration for the free mint will take place on the 20th of December.
