Berserk To Launch their New Season With Several Upgrades
Renowned CCG, Berserk, is coming up with a series of upgrades for Season 3.
Berserk's development team evaluated the card game after Season 2's phenomenal popularity to determine which areas require upgrades. Since then, the team has prioritised server upgrades for enhanced stability, lower latency, and quicker or more responsive gameplay. Berserk has identified in-game systems and elements that will be tweaked and redesigned in Berserk Season 3, in addition to technological enhancements.
Balanced Gameplay and Upgraded Reward System
Berserk Season 3 will introduce the New Beginnings set. The set contains 24 new cards that provide a variety of brand-new effective deck-building strategies. The New Beginnings set will be available to everybody for free for the entire season.
Furthermore, Berserk Season 3 will make all existing Vulcanites playable heroes. With accessibility to hero abilities, the game anticipates a large rise in player numbers, which will improve match balance.
Also, Berserk will change the card draw rate to promote alternate deck-building metas. Further, in the coming season, the team plans to reduce the card draw to one card every turn, increasing to two from turn seven onwards. Slower tactics will become more feasible as the card draw rate increases, emphasising the necessity of deck construction.
Moreover, Berserk is introducing Matchmaking Rating (MMR) modifications to accommodate high-ranked players who were prohibited from playing after they reached a certain level. Berserk Season 3 will have a daily MMR decay to discourage players from 'squatting' on ranks and skipping matches, resulting in a far more fair ranking ladder.
The initial editions of the Berserk subscription pass will be available in Berserk Season 3. Players can buy passes from Vulcan's Vault, and as an initial bonus, all active users will get a free one-day pass to try out the pass.
Berserk is also revamping its prize structure in response to community feedback. The current season's prize pool begins at $50,000 and may increase to $100,000 if the game meets specific community involvement milestones. Berserk has altered the limitations on prize qualifying to promote consistent participation. Players must have a Level 2 My Forge account to be eligible for rewards. Given that, the total number of games played will determine these rewards for Berserk Season 3.
