Continuum World reveals NFT Land minting & more info

Continuum World has put out a new Medium post providing a bit of info on NFT Land minting, as well as some other neat tidbits.

The team behind the in-development play-to-earn MMO has announced that NFT Land minting is set to arrive this forthcoming week, allowing anyone to mint and trade land. When it comes to fees on their marketplace, a 5.5% fee is in place for every successful sale, with all proceeds to be stored in the Continuum World Treasury. The treasury “is governed by Continuum World holders.”

Another fee in place for the game is the withdrawal fee. The first withdrawal is free, followed by a 15% fee that is reduced by 1% every day until reaching 0%, thus making the withdrawal free again.

As of writing, these two ‘revenue streams’ are the only ‘primary’ fees currently present. These fees may be subject to change from time to time, and other ways of generating revenue in an effort to keep the game’s economy sustainable may be added in the future.

Other than land minting, the team has also updated the game’s map, adding Central Haven, which is now the “biggest floating island of the Continuum World universe!”

Placed at the center, the new island not only stands out in size, but also in the amount of variety present on it, containing all biomes present in the game. It’s also the only island that will only be explorable for special, time-limited events. This also means that Central Haven will not have any player-owned lands.

Alongside Central Haven, the developers have added community-made islands from the winners of the #MyContinuumIsland contest nearby, with an event associated with these islands to be unveiled in the future. After NFT Land minting launches, contest winners will be awarded their own land inside their islands.

Built on Polygon, the cute and colorful free-to-play and play-to-earn 2D MMO is slated to release in alpha this Q2, with a beta in Q3 and a “Gold version” in Q4 this year. The mobile port is expected to launch in Q1 2023.
