CropBytes announces CBX Mining V2
News

The CropBytes team has announced the CBX Mining V2 for their blockchain farming sim.

After 6 months of the first version of CBX mining, during which 30 million CBX was mined, the developers are now ready to deploy the next version sometime within the next 2 weeks.

This second version will introduce a dynamic algorithm that "accounts for economic factors and rewards players accordingly," with the aim of making mining balanced and fair for both veterans of the game and newcomers alike.

While the current version allows players to mine CBX by burning a single extract, the new one will continue to have that but also make it possible to burn a variety of different extracts in order to craft various goods and mine CBX, earning bonus CBX for crafting items. This means that players will be able to head to the CBX mining station and choose whether they’d like to mine by doing a single extract burn, or one with more of them labeled as a “collective burn”. The products that players will be able to craft using their extracts include cookies, cake, hammock, pastry, pillow, rope and tent. A limit will be in place as to how much players can mine CBX by crafting these goods, meaning that the developers will be adding new items to craft requiring a different combination of extracts in an effort to “maintain a balance of extracts supply.”

CropBytes is one of the oldest blockchain games still around, having launched back in 2018 on the Tron blockchain. It can be played through a web browser on PC but also on Android and iOS devices by downloading it through the official app stores. Players can try out the game for free using free trial assets, which expire after 7 days from signing up, requiring players to either buy assets from other players or purchase a starter pack from the game’s official store.
