Dark Country Rolls Out New Gameplay Based on Shadow Dimes (SDM) Tokens
Dark Country, a free-to-play WAX-based TCG finally introduced card game and land gameplay based on the Shadow Dimes (SDM) token.
How to earn Shadow Dimes (SDM) in Dark Country?
After months of testing, American Gothic TCG Dark Country finally integrated Shadow Dimes (SDM) tokens into its existing games. This marks an important milestone for the project, as Dark Country's P2E economy will be functional from now on. Given that, let's explore how fellow players can earn SDM in the game.
To start off, there are 2 ways to earn Shadow Dimes in Dark Country. Firstly, you can earn SDM by playing the collectible card game in PvP mode. If you're not holding any lands or NFT card decks, no worries! According to Dark Country, you can always play PvP card games for free and earn SDM along the way.
Next, you can also earn some Shadow Dimes through the land gameplay. If you own an NFT land, you can stake it to earn SDM tokens on a daily basis. However, the token amount depends on the land's Influence rating, which is deflationary in nature. So, if you fail to gain any Influence points in Dark Country, your ratings will go down in time, which will reduce the number of your SDM payouts eventually.
But this is the part where it becomes interesting. To increase the Influence rating, landowners will need to create Quests for players to complete. How it works is that landowners will decide the rarity level of the Quest and set aside a number of Shadow Dimes as a reward. Upon completing the Quest, players will earn SDM tokens and landowners will gain Influence points in return. It's a win-win for all!
Admittedly, Dark Country's land gameplay is still in its infancy. Even so, the team plans to add more features to the game soon. Those who are interested can refer to this guide on how to get started.
