Decentraland announces the Ugly Sweater Wearable Contest
The goal of the contest is to create an ‘ugly holiday sweater’ Wearable, with prizes included for the top 10 entrants. Submissions close on December 19 at 7 AM UTC.
The Decentraland team has announced a new competition in time for the winter holiday period: the Ugly Sweater Wearable Contest.
Anyone interested in trying their hand at creating a seasonal 'ugly holiday sweater' Wearable for the Decentraland metaverse can apply for this contest that opened on December 1st and will close on December 19th at 7 AM UTC.
Judges will rate creations based on the following criteria: uniqueness, wackiness & fun factor as well as how well the submission captures the “Winter/Holiday Theme and represents the idea of an ‘ugly holiday sweater’". The judges are from the Decentraland Foundation and include Creative Director Sam Hamilton, Art Director Shibu, Community Manager PeanutButta and Creative Copywriter Tillandsia.
There are prizes for the top 10 entrants, with 1st place getting rewarded with 800 $MANA, while the remaining spots get 600 $MANA each. Next to the tokens, the winners will also have their work showcased on the official Twitter account of Decentraland. Participants can submit up to 3 Wearables but claim only one prize, while each submitted Wearable has to already be approved and published on the Decentraland Marketplace before the contest deadline. The prizes will be sent to the wallet address that is linked to the Wearable published on the official marketplace.
