DeFi Kingdoms has officially announced the start of Season 6 of DFK Duel, introducing various new features and improvements to the TCG mini-game.
What’s New in Season 6?
The 6th season brings with it fee changes, new equipment, and various improvements that include matchmaking tweaks, gas efficiency, recharge limits, and more. Duel fees, including Power Tokens and Gold, have been all doubled, with the Raffle Ticket payout also getting doubled in line with the change.
This season started on November 15th at 10 PM ET and will end on January 10th at 11:59 PM ET.
New Equipment
According to the announcement, this season marks the introduction of Hero’s Equipment. This means that any equipment your Heroes carry into a Duel will give a +1 bonus to the overall Duel score, giving players another potential advantage alongside the bonuses for bonded Pets.
Next to this addition, the team has also included 5 new Accessories featuring bonuses exclusive to Duels. The new items include the Ring of Dueling, Champion’s Medal, and 3 types of Champion’s Crown: Gold, Silver, and Bronze Crown.
The Ring of Dueling can be earned by getting to Rank Legendary II, with those making it to this rank in Solo getting one Ring, while doing so in Squad is rewarded with 3 Rings, and Warr rewards players with 9 Rings. The wearer of this Ring gets a minimum of +3 added to their Duel Score, with some rare variants giving +4.
To get the Champion’s Medal, you need to become a Champion in one of the Duel modes, earning 1 Medal for being a Solo Champion, 3 Medals for Squad Champion, and 9 for Warr Champion. This Medal provides a random bonus to the Hero’s Duel Score. Depending on the Medal, this can range from +3-6 to +3-9. The announcement states that a player can get a total of 13 Champion Medals this season across all modes. If you’re not satisfied with the Medal you got and want to try and get a better one, you can actually burn it using the DFK Duel menu.
The Champion’s Crown is reserved for the Top 3 Champions in Duel modes, with the item getting awarded after the end of the season. Determining the top 3 is done by looking at the players who have managed to hold the title of Champion the longest throughout the season. Claiming first place is awarded with a Gold Crown, while 2nd place gets a Silver Crown, and 3rd place is given a Bronze Crown. With this Crown, Duel Champions are given a boost to Background Roll chances when defending their title.
