DeFi Kingdoms Introduces Power-Ups that Can be Activated by Staking JEWEL
Team DeFi Kingdoms has released a set of in-game bonuses called Power-Ups, which bring extra utility to cJEWEL and sJEWEL.
All you need to know about Power-Ups, a new release in DeFi Kingdoms
Play-to-earn blockchain game DeFi Kingdoms has introduced a set of in-game enhancements called Power-Ups, which can be unlocked by staking JEWEL. The new release is now available in Crystalvale and Serendale and can be activated with cJEWEL or sJEWEL.
To activate a Power-Up, players have to hold a certain amount of c/sJEWEL for a specific period. However, these in-game bonuses will not consume any of the staked tokens. So players won't be losing their JEWEL when unlocking these Power-Ups.
There are three types of Power-Ups. The first is the simplest, which provides a single tier of benefits activated by allocating the required amount of tokens. The second type presents players with multiple tier options with varying token allocation requirements for each tier. Lastly, the third type offers a variable number of charges based on the number of Heroes a player owns at a fixed token allocation per charge.
Each Power-Up has a Minimum Lock Time associated with it. To activate them, players must always have a c/sJEWEL lock time higher than the minimum requirement. If the player's token lock time drops below this limit, the Power-Up they subscribed to will be canceled instantly.
As of writing, DeFi Kingdoms has released two Power-Ups, which are Quick Study and Rapid Renewal. Both of them are Type 3 Power-Ups that offer different types of boosts. For instance, Quick Study will grant a 15% bonus to XP points gained from questing, while Rapid Renewal will reduce the stamina recharge rate of assigned Heroes by an extra 3 seconds per Hero level.
No doubt, Power-Ups have brought additional utility to cJEWEL and sJEWEL, the governance tokens of DeFi Kingdoms. To find out how to assign or unassign these Power-Ups, check out the official post here.
