Devikins Is Officially Launching on September 1st
Devikins is set to leave early access and officially launch on September 1st, with the full release accompanied by a new update adding in Bounty Hunts, a Battle Pass, Guild Fame, and more.
The team behind Devikins has announced that their turn-based blockchain RPG is officially leaving early access and getting a full release on September 1st.
Once the game officially launches, a new update will be released that will add a new region called Saccharine Dust to the first story arc, while another region, Tiny Town, will be introduced a month after release. The drops in all stages have been adjusted in order to provide a “better and more tactical player experience.”
Next to the new areas, two new features are also on the way: Bounty Hunts and the Battle Pass. The Battle Pass will be a new monthly feature through which players can earn exclusive rewards, with the first Battle Pass set to include a new skill called Glare, while other rewards that will be included are costume and weapon skins, as well as progression items. The two new features are interlinked, as Bounty Hunts represent daily and weekly combat missions that award you with Battle Pass points upon completion, which you need in order to progress through the Battle Pass to unlock various rewards.
The calculation of Guild scores has also been revamped, making it so that it’s no longer a “boring sum of all member’s levels.” To do this, the developers have added in Guild Fame to determine your Guild score, with the Guild Fame growing depending on how well members do in doing daily Chores and competing in PvP modes. The team has mentioned that additional ways to earn Guild Fame might get included at some point.
Season 4 will commence with the new update too, adding various balancing tweaks and a new weapon characteristic called Base Accuracy, which gets multiplied by Skill Accuracy in order to calculate your final hit chance, with evasion still having an effect.
Aside from all these new changes, the team has teased that more new features will arrive in subsequent updates, adding in Factions, Guild Wars, AI vs. AI matches, and a World Boss.
To commemorate the official launch, the team will be offering a limited sale of the Karate Master costume through the in-game store for one day only, on August 26th.
