Earth From Another Sun Secures $4.5M Funding to Develop its Game
News

Earth From Another Sun game is one of the several blockchain games under development in the game industry. However, it has been in existence for a while and has been paying a sect of close-circuit players. Recently, the team announced that it had received funding worth $4.5M from Solana Ventures, Alameda Research and Light Speed. The fund gathered will help speed up the development and adoption of its closed alpha as it gets set for release.

EFAS comprises twenty game veterans from Riot Games, Gameloft, Disney Interactive, Kylotonn, IGG and Perfect World. After rigorous hard work in developing the game for three and a half years, the team boasts of paying over 10,000  closed-alpha players. These players are all traditional PC gamers who are paid a range of $30 to $250 for gaining early access to the game.

What would the EFAS  game entail?

In a trailer video released by the team, players will experience an action-packed first-person shooter experience in a multiplayer, living, breathing galaxy brimming with colossal 1,000-troop armies clashing on the battlefield. They will be able to travel to the stars, trade and mine resources, craft ships and modules and work together to build an ever-expanding universe.  Every non-player character (NPC) in EFAS has AI-powered aspirations, interacting with the player in unpredictable and emergent ways.

The game would be launched on Solana, considering its low transactional fees and energy efficiency. Players can collaborate to have repeated sessions of their in-game experience or design their own art assets. The game will be an ever-evolving one featuring new updates that will introduce equipment, loot, enemies, quests, and NPCs to bring a more immersive gaming experience. Gamers will also have the ability to shape their players and their destinies.

The team plans to launch the first version of the “play & earn” mode towards the end of the year.
