Meet AlterVerse, an upcoming pre-Alpha gaming meta world
AlterVerse, an Efinity-based virtual world, has dropped a new teaser showing a walkthrough of its vibrant central hub Sky City. In the 46-second pre-Alpha footage, fans can take a closer look at the futuristic sci-fi landscape, along with some bad-ass NFT skins and armors up for sale.
Built with Unreal Engine 5, AlterVerse is an extensive gaming metaverse comprised of three exciting realms: Sky City, OutPost (formerly Disruption), and Rekt. Sky City is the community center of AlterVerse, while OutPost and Rekt are gaming centers that host multiple games in FPS and survival genres.
All about Sky City
Straight out from the works of Ready Player One's concept artist, Sky City is described as a virtual city similar to Decentraland or The Sandbox. But it has a lot more gameplay for sure. Sitting in the clouds of an alien planet called Aureus, the AlterVerse city features all sorts of infrastructures and facilities for players to stop by.
There are 16 massive floating platforms called Halospheres surrounding Sky City. Some of them will feature plots of land for sale. And some of them will have refineries or forest biomes for players to gather resources or play-to-earn credits.
In Sky City, AlterVerse citizens can explore the many retail shops or open one themselves to trade real-world items. They can even dance the night away in the exclusive Club Sky City or shop for digital collectibles in the NFT Art Gallery. As the core foundation of AlterVerse, Sky City will be the first of its many games to launch in pre-Alpha.
How to get early access to AlterVerse?
As of writing, only early supporters of AlterVerse will have pre-Alpha access to Sky City. However, the team has promised to increase the number of spots so that more players can join the game's Alpha and Beta testing in time. Interested participants can sign up over here.
