Ember Sword Releases White Paper Featuring Details on Game Mechanics & More
The Ember Sword White Paper is officially live, and features details on the game's design, mechanics, blockchain implementation, and more.

Ember Sword developer Bright Star Studios has officially released the White Paper for their free-to-play action MMORPG.
While this marks the team’s first public release of the whitepaper, the document seems to be on version 0.7 at the time of writing and contains various details for the game’s design, mechanics, and vision, explaining how blockchain technology will be used to support these elements.
According to the whitepaper of the game, which has undergone a couple of alpha playtests throughout this year, the Web3 title is set to be a free-to-play “platform-agnostic” MMORPG that is easy to play but hard to master, encouraging social gameplay while excluding loot boxes and pay-to-win aspects. As s result, this title aims to be accessible both for paid and free players, with crypto wallets being completely optional from enjoying the experience. Those who do however opt to use wallets will also get to participate in other blockchain-related elements that include tradable digital collectibles and ownership of land, with all these NFTs set to be on Immutable X, a Layer 2 on the Ethereum network.
According to the roadmap found in the whitepaper, the developers plan on releasing the game sometime next year, after which various content updates and expansions will be released, that include new dungeons, boss encounters, and more.
