Emirates Health Service Introduces Metaverse Portal
The initiative aims to promote telemedicine practices in virtual clinics and provide online consultation services.

Emirates Health Service' Telemedicine Services
The United Arab Emirates' top healthcare provider, Emirates Health Services (EHS), has launched a Metaverse-based virtual telemedicine solution using 3D virtual reality technology. The metaverse platform was introduced to provide virtual medical consultation services supported by advanced technologies. This technology allows members of society to access e-services through smart devices.
Users can book a Metaverse Appointment through the official website and effortlessly access psychiatric consultation services through this new virtual platform. In addition, patients can also access the Mental Health clinic, family health promotion clinics, and the Customer Happiness Center.
Furthermore, the Metaverse provides a 3D interactive space that enables people to connect with healthcare professionals via a secure link. This link is accessed through the customer's device equipped with a camera, microphone, and speaker. This way, patients do not have to buy equipment like headphones and controllers. In addition, healthcare professionals can examine the conditions, discuss treatment plans and provide care by offering virtual rehabilitation services in physical therapy, autism, and ADHD.
Patients can also use the Metaverse portal to submit questions, recommendations, and complaints.
Mission of EHS Metaverse Extension
Director General EHS, Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al-Serkal, mentioned that it is the first global healthcare provider to apply Metaverse technology to provide advanced services by adopting best practices that leverage AI, IoT, and Blockchain technologies.
This launch aims to keep up with the evolving expectations and needs in the medical sector by supporting innovation and pushing digital transformation. The mission of this metaverse extension is to establish virtual clinics and provide consultation services and medications through robotic pharmacies. This is to enhance customer satisfaction and build patients' confidence by delivering excellent outpatient services and improving service channels.
