Etihad Airways Introduces Web3 Airline Loyalty Program: Etihad Horizon Club
Etihad Horizon Club is one of the world’s first Web3 airline loyalty programs, powered by Arcube and scheduled to launch in September this year, allowing Etihad NFT holders to stake their assets and earn miles every day that can be redeemed for flight upgrades, hotels, and holidays.
Etihad Airways has announced through its Etihad NFT Twitter/X profile page that they are introducing one of the world’s first Web3 airline loyalty programs: the Etihad Horizon Club.
This new program is scheduled to launch in September this year and allows holders of Etihad NFTs to stake their assets in order to earn Etihad miles every day. These miles can be used for spending on various Web3 and travel perks. Holders of Rare Liveries and Mission: Impossible Livery NFTs will get to earn more miles per day.
Users will be able connect and stake multiple NFTs on their Etihad Account, earning miles every day that will be redeemable in the Horizon Club shop where holders will get to purchase Web3 products, event passes and merchandise, redeeming miles for flight upgrades, hotels, and holidays.
The new NFT staking program is made possible thanks to Arcube, whose objective is to help large brands enter the world of Web3.
Today, August 1st, marks the launch of Mission: Impossible Livery NFTs. It’s an “ultra-exclusive” NFT collection of 300 non-fungible tokens which became available for minting today at a price of $299 for whitelisted Etihad NFT holders. That was the first phase with a supply of 250, followed by a Guaranteed mint for $350 at a supply of 130. Two more phases remain at the time of writing: the FCFS Whitelist at 1 PM UTC (which should be underway before this article has been published), followed by the Public Sale at 4 PM UTC.
