Exobots: Omens of Steel Reveals its Latest Free-to-Play Alpha Build
The mecha-themed NFT card game is now available in Alpha on iOS, Android, and Windows PC.
What you need to know about the Exobots Alpha
Turn-based NFT battle game Exobots has released an updated version of its free-to-play Alpha build. Notably, its entire gameplay and graphics have undergone a major overhaul, offering fans a much more enjoyable gaming experience.
For a start, Exobots: Omens of Steel is a play-and-earn mecha-themed blockchain title developed by Metron City Games. It is based on the BNB Chain, where players get to form a team of 3 Exobots to partake in PvE (Adventure), PvP, and Dungeon (Slums Brawl) battles.
Though Exobots has a similar vibe to Axie Infinity, the team is doing things differently for sure. Instead of releasing their in-game NFTs ahead, Metron City allows players to try out the game first with free mechas. This allows gamers to get a taste of different builds before the official NFT launch in Q4 2022.
So what's new in Exobots? In essence, Exobots Alpha (v0.20.0) features a new character and combat animation, with added card set and a PvP game mode. There are also improvements to the overall UI, along with a few balancing changes to some battle cards.
As shown below, all Exobots are now bigger, better, and stronger, designed with a mix of Japanese mechas, cyberpunk, and retro elements. Players can always test out their different abilities in the Alpha game.
Just so you know, an Exobot comprises six body parts: Helmet, Cortex, Frontek, Left Gear, Right Gear, and Kinetics. Previously, each body part only represented one ability. With the second set of cards added, each part will come with two abilities, so a Mecha will have 12 cards instead of 6. These extra cards will come in handy, especially in the PvP mode that just went live.
Anyway, if you're a fan of turn-based card games, why not give Exobots a go? Anyone can join the Alpha game today by downloading the NFT title to their iOS, Android, or Windows PC.
