Fableborne Reveals Updated Roadmap for Q3 & Q4 2023
The updated Fableborne roadmap for Q3 & Q4 2023 has been heavily influenced by community feedback, and is split into content, systems, and live operations. Each section has various different milestones the team plans to achieve in the coming months, some of which include working on Hero talent trees, squad AI for Defense Units, new Heroes, and more.
Pixion Games, the developers of isometric action RPG Fableborne, has published an updated roadmap for Q3 and Q4 2023, giving us a glimpse of what we could potentially expect to see in the coming months, though as always, everything is subject to change.
The contents of this new roadmap are claimed to be “heavily influenced” by community feedback, with the overview of it being split into 3 different sections: content, systems, and live operations.
For the content part of the roadmap, the developers have shared that they’re currently working on creating a new Hero: the Monk class. Two new Defense Units, Healer and Sniper, are also in the works, alongside a prototype of Island corridors. The next content-related things the team plans to work on include a combat RPG archetype system, 2 new Heroes, Defense Units squad AI, and 2 new Defense Units, while the “Later” part of the content roadmap mentions a transition to Hero talent trees and a prototype of Island elemental biomes.
In the systems roadmap, the team has listed raid replays, fairer matchmaking rating, a new “heart of island” progression, and a daily win bonus prototype as the milestones currently being worked on. The next milestones they aim to achieve during these coming months include pre-raid squad selection, creating the Esper collection system, developing a prototype of Defense tokens, and more. Later on, 3 more prototypes will be developed, while improving the island obstacles feature and increasing the clarity of raiding goals.
Last but not least, the live operations roadmap reveals that the team is developing a player cheating reporting system and a cookies system for GDPR compliance, while preparing the Fableborne Primordials NFT mint. Next up is working on a “end-to-end blockchain user flow vertical slice” as well as holder utilities for Fableborne Primordials, with plans to set up simultaneous leaderboard events and a leaderboard ranking split from MMR trophies later on.
