Floki Inu Valhalla Is Launching on Mainnet This Year
The mainnet version of Floki Inu Valhalla is coming this year, bringing with it Battle Arenas, Open World, a Chinese version, and an in-game economy powered by the $FLOKI token, enabling play-to-earn gameplay.
Floki Inu Valhalla, a play-to-earn NFT gaming metaverse, is set to officially launch on mainnet sometime this year.
This was revealed in the team’s 2023 roadmap update published last week. In it, they state that the game is heading to mainnet at some point this year, and that this version will include the Open World together with an in-game economy that is fueled by the $FLOKI token, enabling the ability to play to earn. The release will also include Battle Arenas, as well as a Chinese version in an effort to “capitalize on the ballooning gaming and crypto interest from China.” The developers believe that this mainnet launch will cause “strong demand and utility for the $FLOKI token” because of how important the token will be within the game’s economy. Aside from the previously-mentioned timeframe, no specific release date for the mainnet version seems to be available at the time of writing.
Next to mainnet, the roadmap update also talks about other things the developers have been working on that are almost ready for release. These include a major upgrade to the FlokiFi Locker, which will bring about a referral program, burn functionality, native payments, and more. The staking program is almost ready to exit out of testnet, with the team revealing that half a dozen people are working to make sure everything works as it should while also being “absolutely worth the while of every $FLOKI holder to stake their tokens.”
