REVV Motorsport and Animoca Brands have announced that Formula E: High Voltage, the first official Formula E game in which you create a fantasy team of cars and drivers in the form of NFT card collectibles, is set to fully launch on October 19th at 11 AM UTC with 4 weeks of race tournaments 2.5 million $REVV in reward pools.
Launch Details
In celebration of the game’s official launch following an Early Access Tester Program, the developers are hosting a special set of tournaments that will last for 4 weeks. There will be a prize pool of 1 million $REVV to compete for, next to a 1.5 million $REVV Bonus Pool. You’ll be able to earn a share of the bonus pool from various activities that will be hosted throughout the 4-week long period. Aside from this competitive aspect, players can expect to see 100+ skills available from launch, with more to be added over time. Skills are described as “unique features” which can help your team succeed if used properly. Every car or driver has a Skill you can activate during a race by simply clicking on it. Skills can include abilities like altering the weather, regenerating energy, and more.
Battle Mode & Prizes
The gameplay of these tournaments will take place through the Battle Mode. In order to enter a battle, you’ll need 25 $REVV tokens. According to the announcement, a battle consists of 11 racing spots, with battles lasting an hour each while 3 will be simultaneously open for anyone with enough tokens to enter. If there is no free slot available in those 3 battles, then new battles will open up.
By finishing in the top 6 of a battle, you’ll be able to earn a share of the reward pool. Based on the provided info, it seems that each battle that has 11 players participating comes with a reward pool of 248 $REVV tokens, with the winner of the race earning 40% of the pool (99 $REVV).
