The President of Blockchain at Gala Games, Jason Brink AKA BitBender answers various community questions related to game economics and more similar topics in a new AMA.
Jason Brink, the President of Blockchain at Gala Games, who also goes by the name of BitBender, recently held an AMA for the play-to-earn platform in order to cover various topics related to game economies, token utility and more.
In the AMA, BitBender answered various questions asked by the community in regards to the economic aspects of the blockchain titles that are a part of the Gala ecosystem. When asked about when the earnings for Town Star will be re-enabled, Jason Brink reveals that while he has been working with the game’s team for various different things, he currently does not have any info to provide in regards to being able to earn again in this Web3 title, nor is he in control of the game’s economy, as that is up to the developers on how that part will move forward.
One person asked whether there are plans to add in creator codes to the games in the ecosystem in order to incentivize content creators to promote these blockchain titles, like how popular traditional games such as Fortnite do it. Brink revealed a positive answer to this question, stating with a resounding yes that this is certainly something they would like to do with games such as Spider Tanks.
Another user expressed concern over the utility of the $GALA token, as each game on the ecosystem will have its own token, thus asking if the platform’s token will just be a gas fee, to which BitBender said that no, it will not. He states that $GALA powers the whole ecosystem and that it’s utility involves using it to deploy smart contracts, for establishing bridges, for deploying new node networks, and more, that is, to “basically do anything on Gala Chain.”
