Gala Games Unveils 2023 Vision: Here's What You Need To Know?
Gala Games has revealed its 2023 roadmap, emphasizing the growth of mobile gaming, enhancement of the Gala blockchain, and improvement of game tokenomics.
The company recently acquired a mobile gaming company and intended to bring its games into the web3 environment. Further, Gala Games has decided to replace the TOWN token with GALA as the primary currency in the Town Star ecosystem.
Mobile Gaming
Gala Games has taken a step towards mobile gaming by acquiring Ember Entertainment, which has a collection of mobile games. Additionally, Gala Games intends to introduce blockchain technology to a larger audience by integrating games like Meow Match and Dragon Strike into the web3 environment.
To enhance the gaming experience, Gala is creating GEMs, a general in-game currency. As per the team, players can buy GEMs with traditional currency or credit cards. The creation of GEMs involves burning GALA tokens, providing a long-term use case. Also, Gala wants to add play-to-win tournaments and NFTs to its mobile games.
Gala Tokenomics
GALA will be the gas token for the Gala Games blockchain. The company plans to integrate GALA into more games, including converting GALA to GEMS. GALA will replace TOWN rewards in Town Star, and TOWN holders will have a chance to convert their tokens.
In addition to Superior and the official Gala marketplace, GALA may be integrated into other elements of the Gala Games ecosystem. Spider Tanks will still use the SILK token as its game economy is already established.
Gala Games has its own blockchain, called GYRI, to address Ethereum's gas fees. GYRI successfully hosted Spider Tanks and is ready for more games, including Town Star, Champions Arena and Meow Match. As per the announcement, Gala Film and Gala Music will also launch on the Gala network.
