Genopets' Habitat Management System is Now Live in Private Beta
With that, anyone who owns an NFT Habitat can harvest KI tokens and perform various activities to build a player-created economy in Genopets.
Genopets rolled out habitat management portal in closed beta
On August 10th, Genopets' Habitat Management Portal went live in private beta. With that, anyone who owns an NFT Habitat can harvest KI tokens and perform various activities such as Alchemy crafting, Terraforming, crystal refining, and more. This, in turn, will help kick off a player-driven economy in the Genopets ecosystem.
According to the team, Habitat owners are akin to "suppliers" in the vast universe of Genopets. First off, each Habitat will emit some KI tokens and raw crystals on a daily basis. Players can then use KI to convert raw crystals into Refined Genotype Crystal NFTs. With these NFT crystals, players can enhance their Genopets, repair their Habitats, or sell them for a profit in the marketplace.
Owners can also upgrade their Habitats by paying a fee in KI. The higher the Habitat level, the faster it will spawn raw crystals every day. Upon reaching Level 3, it will produce Terraform Seed NFTs, allowing holders to mint extra Habitats in Genopets. In short, more KI tokens and refined crystals for Habitat owners in the long term.
Once players have enough KI and refined crystals, they can give it a go in Alchemy crafting. More than 70 Alchemy recipes are waiting for them to discover in Genopets. Rare crystals, potions, power-ups, and equipment are items that Habitat owners can craft and trade with other players.
How to join Genopets' private beta program?
Those who are interested can sign up to join the waitlist over here. According to Genopets, invites will ramp up in the coming weeks as they send more beta access codes to players on the list. If you own a Genesis Genopet or Genesis Habitat, you will get an immediate invite by verifying yourself on Genopets Discord's #🎟get-beta-invite channel.
Make no mistake, the move-to-earn MMORPG is free to play. But to start earning KI, players need to buy an NFT Habitat or rent one from others in the game.
