Genopets Introduces Arcade Mode & In-App Shop in Update v0.9.0
Genopets v0.9.0 features a new mini-game called Arcade Mode, an In-App Shop to buy items in using Qubits, and more updates.
The Genopets team has released the major v0.9.0 update, introducing Arcade Mode and the In-App Shop to the move-to-earn title.
What’s New in v0.9.0?
The latest update brings a host of significant additions to the game, with the most notable being the Arcade Mode and the In-App Shop. Other updates included in this version are the ability to buy Energy in-app through a gasless token swap, burning KI tokens in the process; an updated bank button that now tells you how much time you have left to bank your steps that day, and last but not least, XP and Step Goal have been reintroduced back into the game as a result of community feedback, letting you track your progress straight from the home screen.
Arcade Mode
Arcade Mode is an endless runner mini-game where you play as your Genopet and collect gems and chest fragments all while avoiding obstacles in an effort to try and get the highest score. Compete for the top of the leaderboard and earn prizes such as toys and food.
In-App Shop
The In-App Shop is a new store directly integrated in the game that allows you to buy exclusive items using the in-app currency, Qubits. This currency can be bought just like a premium currency in traditional mobile games, making the Web3 title more accessible to Web2 gamers. Among the available items include food and toys, as well as the Morphosphere, which can randomly alter your pet’s head. The release of this shop marks the first step towards introducing a complete P2P marketplace, which according to the update post, is planned to be included “with the next release.”
