Genopets Introduces Banking Rewards for Users to Nurture their Digital Pets
Users can gather Banking Rewards for the upcoming feed and play mechanisms.

It's getting more rewarding to bank your steps in Genopets
Genopets, the leading move-to-earn RPG, has introduced Banking Rewards that players can use to nurture their virtual pets. All this while, banking steps will allow users to obtain Energy, which can be used to level up, harvest KI, and get ahead of new gameplay.
Now, whenever players bank their steps, their Genopets will also drop some food and toys randomly. These could be anything from a dragonfruit to ice cream cones and throwing rockets, which will be helpful when the feed and play mechanics arrive.

How do Banking Rewards work? According to the team, players must take at least 1,000 steps before banking them to earn reward items. Each user can only get Banking Rewards once per day and earn up to 6 of these special items in a day.
All Banking Rewards are in-game assets that cannot be minted into semi-fungible tokens (SFTs) outside the game. However, users will be able to craft or purchase food and toys from Magic Eden in the future.
Once the feed and play mechanics are live, Banking Rewards will play a key role in managing the Genopets' mood. Mood is a factor that determines how efficiently players can convert steps into Energy. So the happier your Genopet is, the more Energy you can get from your steps.
To improve your Genopet's Mood, make sure there are enough food and toys to keep it entertained. As Banking Rewards are now attainable, players can gather them in preparation for the upcoming gameplay.
Since the NFT title went into Public Beta, the team has introduced multiple features to improve users' gaming experience. One of them includes integrating the app with Google Fit to reduce its lag issues on Android. Another one is Genoverse, a virtual world for Genopets, which the team teased about in October. Those who are interested in playing Genopets can sign up here for early access.
