Gods Unchained Implements Royalty fees on Secondary Market Transactions of Cards
News

Gods Unchained has announced that it would introduce royalty fees for secondary market transactions of cards to support and reward original creators by giving them a small percentage of the transaction fee for items they created.

Royalty fees will be added to all cards, including the newly minted cards and the existing ones (which will be added retrospectively) with 20% of the royalty fee being contributed to the $GODS staking pool. It will be recalled that this strategy was well outlined in the Whitepaper for Gods Unchained as one of its avenues for growth and expansion by giving back to members of its community.

All active players in the ecosystem will benefit from the games’ growth through the royalty fees. In addition, the secondary market will also expand as more players utilize it either by more players trading cards or more cards being traded per player. These transactions will benefit those who choose to stake their $GODS tokens and actively participate in the game.

Commenting on the introduction of Royalty fees, Gods Unchained Product Manager of Monetization, Infinity squid said:

“As a team, we want to show our players how committed we are to supporting the long-term vision for Gods Unchained that we share with our community.

As the market grows for cards, so will the rewards available to those who use staking in the future. As developers, aligning our incentives with our players is fundamental to what we are building with Gods Unchained.”
