The largest developer in the metaverse collaborated with Hershey India and the Philippines to create their Decentraland experience.
The build went live on December 5, 2022, and now Hershey's can use the holidays to promote an immersive, branded experience. The activation takes place on a 22 plot of land in Decentraland and reveals the Philippines and India, which are two of Hershey's most important markets in Asia. The experience will be memorable because it is based on the universal language of chocolate. Users will complete quests, learn about sweet holiday traditions, explore virtual shops, and even earn exclusive rewards by completing quests.

“As the way consumers interact with our brands continues to change, creating this experience is an opportunity to deepen our connection with Gen Z, and also bring the iconic Hershey’s experience directly into homes,” shared Alexia Wharton, Head of International Commercial Growth at The Hershey Company.
Hershey's goal with the activation is to reach a global audience and provide them with a memorable holiday moment to share. This innovative experience allows people to interact with the world-renowned chocolate brand in a new way.
Sam Huber, LandVault’s CEO shared how important this activation is: “Working with Hershey not only signifies another landmark moment for the metaverse, but also an important step for Hershey’s as a company. We were honored to assist them in bringing their metaverse experience to life and reach more people in more moments during the holidays.”
