Horse racing game DarleyGo goes into public beta
The Solana-based title launched into public beta on June 23, allowing players to train, race and breed horses.
Running on the Solana network and described as “the world’s first myth-based NFT horseracing game based on Solana,” the game has players train, race and breed horses which are divided into three bloodlines: Darley, Areo and Hayato. They differ not only by appearance but also by the attributes they possess.
As of writing, the game features a Racing Mode, which is divided into 2 levels, though only the first one is currently playable. Level 1 Racing requires owning at least 1 horse and can be watched in 2D and 3D, rewarding the top 3 winners with $GXE, the uncapped main currency that is used for breeding, while Level 2 Racing allows players to choose the weather, distance and track of the race. Alongside the earnable token, players also need the governance token, $DGE, for breeding.
The team behind the game, Digital Games Labs, plans to introduce Level 2 Racing later this year, while a PvP Battle Mode is scheduled for a Q3 2022 release. One of the features from the roadmap that should be coming out soon is the scholarship system. In this same year, they also aim to launch a mobile version, a Galaxy Mode and new NFTs.
The developers revealed in the announcement post that in the first 3 days since the beta launch, the game has seen an average of 485 players per day, with a total of 5300 races, or 1766 per day hosted, while $GXE has had a 93% burn rate.
