Illuvium has announced the opening of their very first official store, and with it, the release of their first own official merchandise, called The Essentials Collection.

With the launch of this merchandise also marks the opening of Illuvium’s store, which for now consists of this new collection when it comes to available items, but it also has a print option too that makes it possible to print “high-quality reproductions of your digital assets,” so if you’d like to see your Illuvitar NFTs come to life in physical form, then you might well be interested in having a printed asset that is referred to as an Illuvitar D1SKPLATE and is priced at $75 in $ETH.

The co-founder of Illuvium, Kieran Warwick, tweeted the following in regards to the launch of the shop:

“After investing nearly a year's worth of effort, the Illuvium Store is now fully operational. Our dedicated team has meticulously worked on various aspects, including design, production, fulfilment, operations, and legal requirements. We take immense pride in the exceptional level of quality we have achieved, all while ensuring that our pricing remains reasonable. As someone deeply passionate about fashion, I am looking forward to creating exciting new collections in the near future.”

Next to the D1SKPLATES, users can browse through 13 other different items available for purchase. These include shorts, tees, and hoodies, each of which have a black and white version, and while the shorts only include the obelisk logo on them, the other clothing do seem to have a bit more different varieties to choose from. The available prices range from $45 to $85, or from 0.024 to 0.046 $ETH, without counting the shipping fee, which can vary greatly depending on where you live. If you want to get free worldwide shipping, you need to checkout with an order worth at least $300. Seems a bit unusual to set such a high number to be eligible, considering you’d basically have to get at least one of each type of clothing, plus a printed asset, in order to receive free shipping.

The response to the new merchandise seems to have mostly been positive, with most praising the simplicity of its design, while one person has expressed disappointment in the comfort level of the clothing, with another questioning the meaning of “eco-friendly cotton” in the descriptions of the apparel, though the game’s Head of Concept Art did reply to confirm that it is organic cotton. One Twitter user also pointed out the strange threshold for free shipping, showing surprise and disappointment for it being so high.

You can check out the new store and the whole collection through the link found in the official announcement down below.

At the beginning of this month, Illuvium managed to raise another $10 million in funding from Framework Ventures in order to further expand the development of its gaming ecosystem.
