Illuvium Unveils First Look at In-Game NFT PFP Avatars: Illuvitars
Meet Illuvitars, a collection of kick-ass NFT PFP avatars coming your way in Illuvium.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Illuvitars!
Yesterday, Illuvium revealed in a trailer showing what Illuvitars will look like. In the 32-second video, a strong, bulky Illuvial called Earth Doka is seen practicing punching on a wall. Shortly after that, the almighty Rhamphyre dragon stomps in, spitting fire into the air. Pictures of these Illuvials are then framed before the trailer ends with a teaser of the upcoming Illuvitars sale.
What are Illuvitars in Illuvium?
To sum up, Illuvitars are configurable NFT avatars that players can use as profile pictures (PFP) in all Illuvium games. Each of them features a Portrait of an Illuvial, with the option for players to bond (a.k.a. add-on) any Accessories to it. According to the team, the Genesis set consists of more than 150 unique Illuvials, which will be released in batches for a limited time.
For a start, Portraits and Accessories will be sold separately in 6 tiers of crates ranging from Bronze to Diamond. A Portrait crate will contain one random Portrait, while an Accessory crate will contain one random accessory. Given that, it is more likely for a higher-tier crate to drop a rare Portrait/Accessory.
Although users can't choose which Illuvitars to buy, they can mint countless amounts of Illuvitars during the sale. In fact, the first batch of PFPs will feature the 25 most popular Illuvials in the game. Guess what? Atlas is on the list too!
According to Illuvium, users will be able to buy Portraits and Accessories using ETH or sILV2 on IlluviDex. What's more, 100% of the revenue from the sale and subsequent marketplace royalties will go directly into the Illuvium Vault for revenue distribution. But since the team has not finalized the date for the Illuvitars sale, eager fans can always sign up here for more updates.
