Immutable Collaborates with AWS to Boost Crypto Gaming Infrastructure

Blockchain gaming company Immutable has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop infrastructure solutions for the cryptocurrency gaming industry. This collaboration aims to simplify the process for developers to launch and expand their blockchain-based games.
Immutable has become a part of AWS's ISV Accelerate Program, designed for companies that incorporate AWS services into their products. Game developers using the Ethereum-compatible Immutable X blockchain can join AWS Activate, a startup program offering technical support, AWS credits of up to $100,000, and additional resources.
Immutable's Chief Commercial Officer, Jason Suen, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating,
“By joining AWS ISV Accelerate and AWS Activate programs, we're able to provide our vast network of game developers with a turnkey solution for quickly building and scaling web3 games.”
Adoption of Blockchain Technology is on the Rise
AWS recognizes the rapid growth of the gaming sector within the blockchain industry. According to AWS Head of Startups, John Kearney, many studios are actively exploring the integration of crypto technology into their games, making gaming one of the fastest-growing subsectors in the blockchain space.
While Kearney did not disclose the number of crypto firms involved in the AWS ISV Accelerate Program, he mentioned that companies must be part of AWS's Partner Network and meet certain undisclosed requirements to qualify. He did not provide specific details regarding AWS's stance on blockchain games but expressed enthusiasm about the future of crypto-powered games. AWS is also collaborating with the Blockchain Game Alliance.
It's worth noting that Immutable is not the only blockchain company working with AWS. In January, Avalanche joined the AWS Partner Network and AWS Activate, offering Avalanche subnet deployment through the AWS marketplace. Immutable X and the upcoming Immutable zkEVM are both Ethereum scaling networks that support various crypto games, including Immutable's Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians and titles like Illuvium, MetalCore, and Cross the Ages.
