Immutable Unveils Immutable Passport
The new wallet and authentication solution aims to improve onboarding for web 3 games, making them more accessible.
Immutable X, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution targeted towards scaling Web 3 games, has launched its multi-platform web 3 onboarding solution. The platform shared its keenness on allowing game studios to help gamers secure their identities and allow them to travel across the Web 3 ecosystem seamlessly.
Immutable Passport is a non-custodial wallet and authentication tool that enables users to gain access to blockchain games and marketplaces by signing up without using passwords. It does not keep hold of the user’s private keys. This makes it easily adaptable across mainstream audiences. Furthermore, the Passport offers its users a safe and secure digital wallet, fraud protection and stress-free authentication across web 3 games and marketplaces.
The non-custodial wallet enables players to create their own web 3 identities that can be used across multiple platforms. Immutable further highlighted that Passport was explicitly designed to address the web3 gaming space. They further explained that the majority of current wallet solutions had yet to address the space.

Passport enables players to sign on using a one-time password and an email. It also allows users to access one identity and travel with their assets across their gaming experience.
