Joystick secures $8M funding to empower gamers in the Web3 ecosystem
The gaming and esports platform focused on empowering gamers to become owners and content creators in the Web3 space has raised $8M to achieve its objectives.

Tik Tok Star and Cofounder of Joystick, Michael Le, has announced that its gaming and esports platform has raised $8M seed round and is currently raising a $110 million funding round.
Joystick is a blockchain-based platform that aims to connect global games to their players while providing economic empowerment by altering the current play-to-earn revenue-sharing model to give them 100% of the revenue. As a result, the brand offers an opportunity for gamers to have access to gaming earnings without taking a percentage of their income.
The company was founded by Tik Tok Star Michael Le and Tech entrepreneur Robin DeFay to empower users to become business owners and content creators in the Blockchain World.
Commenting on the Joystick objectives, CEO and cofounder, DeFay said:
“The rise of play-to-earn gaming and Web3 has created new earning potential for gamers. We are revolutionizing this model by allowing players to pay a fixed fee and earn 100% of the revenue they generate – a major improvement over the traditional revenue-sharing model used by everyone else. This means the more players play, out hustle and outsmart, the more money they earn – not us.”
Joystick operates by taking a small monthly fee from users instead of a percentage of their gaming revenues, empowering them to build their businesses in Web3. In addition, the platform hosts several educational events and regular esports tournaments for players to earn rewards while improving their gaming skills.
