Top Harvest Capital led the funding for the AI-assisted 3D animation studio with participation from The Sandbox and ZEPETO.
Kinetix has announced that it has raised $11 million in seed funding led by Top Harvest Capital with contributions from The Sandbox, ZEPETO, Sparkle Ventures, Entrepreneur First, etc.
Kinetix is an AI-assisted 3D animation firm that offers its users features to convert video into 3D animated avatars without hassles due to its no-code set-up thereby promoting top-notch content creation in the Metaverse.
Content creation is a difficult task, and even more so in the web3 space, where unique skills are required to create high quality content. By setting up an AI-Powered technology that replaces these skills needed without compromising quality, Kinetix addresses a significant challenge in the web3 space and lowers its entry barrier.
To create animation on Kinetix, all that is required is for creators to upload snippets of the video intended for use, integrate assets from the Kinetix library, which includes assets from Adobe Mixamo and Ready Player Me, choose their design and soon have a fully rendered 3D identity.
Commenting on the funding, Co-founder & CEO of Kinetix Yassine Tahi said:
“We are providing a platform to drive user-generated content in the Metaverse. By making creation fast and easy, we allow millions of users to design their animated avatars and express their personalities in free and fun ways. This significant seed funding round sets the stage for achieving our vision of humanizing the Metaverse and fostering partnerships with the most exciting virtual worlds out there, such as The Sandbox and ZEPETO.”
With Kinetix, anyone can undertake animation-related projects ranging from film shows to concerts and video games. The team is on a mission to Humanize the Metaverse and lower the entry barrier into Web3, and this funding will be crucial to achieving these objectives.
