LVMH Forms Strategic Partnership with Epic Games to Create New Immersive Products
LVMH has made a strategic partnership with Epic Games in order to utilize the Fortnite creator’s innovative 3D tools to successfully create immersive new products and experiences.

LVMH recently announced at the Viva Technology show the formation of a strategic partnership with Epic Games in an effort from the former to successfully create new immersive products and overhaul its current pipeline.
This means that the new partnership aims to help the French conglomerate in improving its offerings and creating better ones by using innovative 3D tools from the Fortnite creator in order to develop 360 carousels, virtual fitting rooms and fashion shows, and more. All of this and more is set to be achieved using powerful technology that includes the Unreal Engine, Twinmotion, Reality Capture and MetaHuman.
The Group Managing Director of LVMH, Toni Belloni, had the following to say:
“We have always been committed to innovations with the potential to bring our customers new experiences. Interactive games, which have developed into a full-fledged cultural phenomenon, are a perfect example. The partnership with Epic Games will accelerate our expertise in 3D tools and ecosystems, from the creation of new collections to ad campaigns and to our Maisons’ websites. We will also engage more effectively with young generations who are very much at ease with these codes and uses.”
LVMH is actually no stranger to some of these tools from Epic, as various LVHM Maisons have already used them before in the previous year, such as when Bulgari showed an ancient Rome-inspired metaverse experience titled “Virtual Rome” over at the Viva Technology show, with the experience made in Unreal Engine 5. At the same event last year, they also prevented Livi, which is a virtual ambassador made using the Unreal Engine and MetaHuman technology in order to successfully create a realistic-looking digital human.
The VP of Unreal Engine at Epic Games, Bill Clifford, added:
“With this partnership, we will work with LVMH’s designers to transform physical and digital product creation using Epic’s suite of advanced creator tools. We are excited to accelerate the Group’s adoption of Unreal Engine, Reality Capture, Twinmotion and MetaHuman technology, and help LVMH’s global brands engage with customers through immersive digital experiences.”
