Mark Zuckerberg Presents His Vision of a User-Created Metaverse With Crayta Tools
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announces plans to boost Facebook gaming experience with the addition of UGC tools, Crayta.
Meta has announced that Facebook Gaming would expand the availability of its cloud games to more countries across Western Europe with the integration of UGC tools, Crayta. The addition of Crayta would strengthen Facebook Gaming’s mission in easing the accessibility of games and democratizing game development.
Zuckerberg further announced the rebuilding of Meta’s Headquarters campus courtyard, Hacker Square. There would be an addition of mini-games and amusement attractions. He added that they have been working with Crayta creators DryCoast and Kay alongside Russ Dooley, a development team member, to bring this into existence.
He commented:
“One of the things that I really love about this is the idea of being able to design a space or design a game from inside of the space or game.”
Zuckerberg also said he had been a gamer since he was a kid and encouraged young people to emulate him by convincing their parents. He buttressed with an explanation on the potential of the metaverse’s availability in 2D and 3D in a statement below.
“A lot of times today, people think about the metaverse as 3D experiences you can have in virtual and augmented reality, but I think what Crayta shows is that you can both build and enjoy these kinds of experiences really easily on all kinds of 2D environments including just within the Facebook App on phones and on computers.”
Although some folks are skeptical about Meta due to its significant loss in its Reality Labs Metaverse division. The totality of the company’s finances to those losses shows that Zuckerberg has a long time to experiment with the metaverse.
