Meet Bondee, a Social Metaverse App On the Rise
New social media platform Bondee recently became the talk of the town after its official debut in mid-January.

What Bondee is all about, and why you should care
If you are an avid social media user, you would have seen people posting cute 3D avatars of themselves over their IG stories. It turns out that all these avatars are created in Bondee, a new social media app by Singapore-based tech firm Metadream.
Officially launched on January 17th, Bondee is described as a virtual plaza that allows users to build their digital space and interact with up to 50 friends. Mixed with elements of the metaverse, messaging, and online gaming, the app has already crossed a million downloads on Google Play and topped the charts on App Store.
Bondee allows you to chat and hang out with your friends in a metaverse setting, all while dressing up your avatars and designing your surroundings in 3D. The app has only one goal, which is to make it possible for you to "live" with your friends and break the boundaries between the digital and the physical worlds.

With an impressive wardrobe selection and detailed graphics, Bondee has captured not only the attention of Gen Zs but also the internet communities at large. After creating your avatar, you will get a QR code that allows others to add you on Bondee. The more friends you have, the merrier it is. Users are free to design their rooms in any way and invite their friends over for a quick gathering or a virtual sleepover.

What's more, there's a special "floating" feature that allows users to set sail and explore the unknown. As they come across new sights and encounters, they can leave messages in drifting bottles, meet new friends, and even snag some freebies along the way.

While Bondee has never been advertised as a Web3 app, some revealed that it is already working on NFT integration. According to the app's Privacy Policy, users will be able to create a blockchain-based wallet to purchase in-game tokens, which can be used to acquire NFTs. However, there is no specific date as to when this will be implemented.
