The R3al Metaverse is bringing some of the top NFT collectibles to life

Invisible Universe, an internet-first animation studio, has launched its first community-driven animated series dubbed "The R3al Metaverse". In essence, it is an animated parody TV show starring five characters inspired by blue chip NFTs.

With a nod to top reality shows like "The Real World" or "Big Brother", The R3al Metaverse follows five NFT characters who cross over from the metaverse and begin living together in Los Angeles. Voiced by professional actors, the cast includes characters inspired by some of the top NFT collections: Pete from Bored Ape Yacht Club, Journey from World of Women, Claudine from Doodles, Monty from Cool Cats, and Sam from Robotos.

The first six episodes of the 34-part short-form series are already available on TikTok, Twitter, Discord, YouTube, Instagram, and the project's website. There will be two episodes released each week, with each episode lasting one to two minutes long.

"While other animated series would take years to develop and get to market, Invisible Universe is uniquely positioned to launch an entire series and NFT collection in a matter of months," said Alexis Ohanian, Founder of Seven Seven Six and investor in Invisible Universe.

"There's something special about seeing your NFT come to life as I've gotten to experience watching Pete go from a .jpeg to 3D character, and I'm excited for Producers Pass holders to have the same opportunity I did."

To that end, the project will release 4,700 Producer Pass NFTs at a later date. As long as you're holding a Producer Pass, you will have a say in the creative direction of The R3al Metaverse. Writing confessional interviews or creating storylines during the season are some of the ways holders can contribute to the show.

But that's not all. According to Invisible Universe, NFT holders of the five collectibles featured in the first season are in for a treat as well. Chances are, they might see their NFT avatars being animated and brought into the series too. Here's what it looks like in the first episode of The R3al Metaverse:
